BIOEAST Macro Region

The BIOEAST Thematic Working Group on Bioeconomy Education, in collaboration with BIOEAST UniNet, is pleased to announce a high-level Policy Expert Discussion focused on advancing bioeconomy research and education in the BIOEAST macro-region.

The event will take place on May 21, 2026, in a hybrid format (in-person and online) in Timișoara, Romania, hosted at the University of Life Sciences “King Mihai I”, and address key challenges and opportunities in light of the upcoming EU bioeconomy strategy and the new Research & Innovation initiatives shaping the sector.

As part of the broader Multidisciplinary Conference on Sustainable Development, organised by the University of Life Sciences “King Mihai I”, taking place May 21–22/2026, will bring together experts from across the BIOEAST region to:

• Exchange insights on bioeconomy education and research
• Strengthen regional collaboration and policy alignment
• Contribute to shaping future EU bioeconomy priorities
